Dec 30, 2000  - Whew--smokin on this one!  Been a busy last part of the month--lots going on, but this particular entry serves to highlight a first, folks...so it's very special.  How about a standing ovation for SCAT & FLASH  for their outstanding showing at the race tourney hosted by Z_Tigger.  It was 3 laps on Crazy 98, and these two guys finished for their outstanding showing at the race tourney hosted by Z_Tigger.  It was 3 laps on Crazy 98, and these two guys finished 2nd and and 3rd respectively, resulting in podium finishes for the two of them...their first.  Great, great job you two--fantastic!!  Also tied for 2nd place was RODr_OF_Steel and XDMac_Dude_Man.  Ti_Mikester took honors as the tourney winner.  Congrats to all of you guys!

Dec 28, 2000  - Well here we go again, adding on to what was already a rumbling-racing dynasty.  Ladies and gentlemen, it gives me GREAT pleasure (hmmm...don't take that the wrong way.  I'm no PA, you know--hehe) to introduce...SLO_Maniac!!  I know it's been said before, but damn...this girl can just plain 'ole race!  Next to N8, she is without question the most devastating mover on a track I've ever seen.  Maniac, on behalf of the entire team...a heartfelt welcome to you, lady.  Oh hey--check this out:  by her own admission, she's looking forward to making "headlines" in our SLO_NOTES.  Hehe--well, I'm here to tell ya, you'll definitely get your wish, my dear...I guarantee that!!  How bout a HUGE round of applause for our very own (certifiable) Maaaaaniac!!!!!  

Dec 27, 2000 - Well, our resident SuperStar was at it again, and during this one-on-one rumble-fest on "The Cube" hosted by XaNaX, he proved he's one of only a handful (if that many) that can swing from both ends of the table.  No, he's not a monkey, and I'm not making a loose reference to baseball.   I'm simply saying he's delivers--whether it's a rumble or race, he's the guy to beat, and it's by no means secret.  N8 - a HUGE congrats to you, partner for "doing it to it" one more time!  Official results:  1st:  SLO_N8     2nd:  MacDaddy_    3rd:  RWU_RipUup.   

Dec 25, 2000 - Let it be known "THE CAPTAIN" (SLO_TurboTA) marked his official return on this day.  For old time's sake, we ran Alpine's Crazy, and although his form was a tad off, he still looked pretty darn good out there given the time he's been on the sideline.  Not at all worried about his form anyway; that'll come back in short order.  What was great to see was the name "SLO_TurboTA" emblazened across the name section of the game room!   For those of you who don't know, he's one of the original Fabulous Four, but just as important, he's the guy responsible for our name.  Captain...welcome back, bud.  It's been too long, man... much too long.  So let's say we get to rollin' out here, huh?  Yeah, that's what I'm talkin about!!

Dec 23, 2000 - This one here was a Friday night, 1-on-1 throw-down on "The Cube", singles style - NiteDreams PBRA endorsed.  Cutting right to the chase, SLO had four of their premier slugger/maulers there: SLO_N8, SLO_nOct3rn4l, SLO_ObeOne, & SLO_SCAT.  The outcome went a little like this:  Winner - SLO_N8   2nd - XXX_Silverado  3rd - SLO_nOct3rn4l  4th - SLO_ObeOne.  According to N8, my main man Scat gave ESX_RaDiOaCtIvE (a prime-time rumbler) "a dance to remember!"  Way to go, Scat, and much, much congrats to the rest of the crew!  You guys put on one heck of a show!!!!!!!

Dec 21, 2000 - Looks like SLO was at it again!  Here's a quick review by our SuperStar:  Format: 2 on 2 Hyper - only SLO there that night was SLO_N8 & SLO_nOct3rnl.  Other teams in attendance: ESX, MGD, VTR, MNM, SYR, ZO, BIG, RWU.....etc. Results: Winner: MILF_MILK MILF_NERD Second: VTRc_Thunder VTRac_F250 Third:  SLO_N8/ SLO_nOct3rn4l.  Comments:  MILF_MILK was MGD_Notorious and MILF_NERD was ESX_JeRiChO.  The final was a 6 man bash-a-thon (3-teams), and as luck would have it, it was our only loss of the night"  Yessirbuddy - is SLO doin it to it or what?  Ok, let's bring on the next race tourney now, and show up sporting 12 of our roadsters.   Yeah, it's comin, believe you me....it's comin!!  Excellent showing fellas - heck of a job out there!!

Dec 13, 2000  - There's an old adage that goes, "Within every dark cloud lies a silver lining" (or something to that effect).  Not that I subscribe to such "neatly packaged" sayings, but in this case it does seem to play a rather significant role.  In the wake of the unfortunate and unexpected resignation of SLO_GIN, a powerhouse of a new prospect has signed on in hopes of becoming a SLOster .  She goes by the name xX_Christy_Xx, and most of you have seen her work...typically in the form of her opponent's truck parts scattered about the immediate area of a cube or platform.   Christy, in the next three weeks of your trial, try not bruise up your future teammates too bad, ok.  We'd like to be able to finish out this year and be ready to do a bunch of tourneys in 2001!  Welcome aboard, Christy---we're very, very glad to have you with us (and not against us---whew!) 

Dec 13, 2000  - Got another "3-alarm fire" going here as we welcome two new members into the fold.  I now proudly  present.....................

SLO_ObeOne and SLO_Renegade!!

Congratulations you two!!  Without a doubt I love doing this more than anything else, and with members like these, well...believe me, I simply can't describe in words how proud I am to be racing and rumbling along side of them...and I'm 200% sure that sentiment is echoed by the entire team.  Again - welcome to "SLO_DOM", Obe and Renegade; the journey has only just begun!!

Dec 11, 2000 -Just when you think it can't get any better...it gets a whole lot better!!  Fact is, you don't run across too many people in the Zone you immediately take to, you know.  Well, the lady who will potentially fill position number "2-4" is exactly that kind of person.  Nope, I'm not overstating it one bit, and in fact, I'm going to wrap this up right about now because I don't need to hype her qualities at all; what she has to offer this team speaks for itself...no doubt.  Without further ado, ladies and gentlemen, I give you _TigerFly!  Her 3-week trial starts today, and ends January 1, 2001.  Since this is prime-time racing rumbling weather (for must of us, anyway) you'll have ample opportunity to get to know her.  Tiger, welcome aboard - if you need anything or if you have a problem, question, etc...well hey, there's always a SLOster online these days - all you need do is ask!

Dec 7, 2000  - I've done the the "two light" special before, namely for nOct and his weirdo rumbling partner, The SuperStar.  But hey, here's something that's truly worthwhile; the arrival of a "newborn" SLO (and ain't he cute? coochee-coochee, coooo).  It brings me great pleasure to introduce to the entire Gaming Zone...SLO_Weeedeee!!!!!!!!  Hey, no one needs me to spout off about how this guy is very much like a human projectile on the tracks.  We all know the youngster can flat out fly!!  Weeedeee, I'm genuinely happy you've joined us bud--truly I am....and I want a rematch on Hoopdreams, too!!  Little punk took every shortcut known to man...and some that weren't!!!    Again, welcome to TEAM SLO, buddy!  How bout a big round of applause for the guy, huh?

Dec 7, 2000 - Sometimes stuff just...happens, you know.  I seem to have more to write about than I can keep up with.  Well, today is just one of those days whereby everything is turning into gold (except our former website host--thanks NBCI, thanks for nothing!).  The lady I'm about to present requires no grandiose, hyped-up, supercharged intro, for her reputation definitely precedes her.  TEAM SLO....hold on to your tail pipes, for I now give you our newest prospect, and most likely member number "23"....MMMMMMMAAAAAAAAAAAANIAC!!!!  Uh huh, that's what I'm talking about!  She started her trial period as of today (around 2:13:28 a.m. Central Time I believe...not sure), and come Dec 28, we'll vote to determine her status with this team (you might want to try "losing" a few races for a change, lady...you know, for appearance sake!)  Maniac, on behalf of the entire team we welcome you with open arms!  Very, very glad to have you aboard!!

Dec 2, 2000 - Team SLO showed up in force at today's EAST COAST CONNECTION tourney hosted by DareDevil_ZT.  We didn't fare quite as well as we would've hoped, however, combos such as Obe/PA & nOct/Christy (girlfriend is a brute on the pad!) mauled their way through a few rounds!  Vyper and I got squashed in the first round by RWU, but you know, if my arthritis wasn't so bad...and if Vyper didn't run so much...well hey, I'm thinkin there woulda been a different outcome.  Still, an outstanding showing by SLO!  I'm very impressed with the number of members that showed up to support the tourney.  Congrats to Team XXX!  Onward to the next slugfest!!!!
