Broom, Please.  posted by COPE June 29, 03

Not many people have heard of SLO_MUDDD, shown here (on left) in his natural habitat.  He spends a lot of his time participating in interests outside of MTM 2, which consist of attending seminars that discuss various mud compositions, teaching an introductory course at the local community college (Dirt & Water 101), collecting samples of various types of mud worldwide, and heading up a support group that promotes tearing down federal buildings to make mud fields because, well, to quote the man himself, "it's the way it was meant to be" lol.

Where MTM 2 is concerned the guy is just as committed & intense, and during this weekend's tourney, he definitely made a statement, proving beyond a doubt that he's no ordinary hunk of wet dirt.  MUDDD, along with Shaggy and N8 were the main ingredients in a SLO sweep at yesterday's tourney, which featured Malibu350's present day classic, "Deadman's Gulch˛".   MUCH congrats to Shaggy (awesome win, bud), MUDDD, and N8 on an outstanding tourney, and hats off to all who attended.

Special thanks goes out to the man who's been making it happen - SYR_ALL2much1, a.k.a "+ALL2much__".  This guy has set aside countless hours of his personal time in order to host tourneys so that others can enjoy this game.  In my book his efforts are indicative of dedication and commitment above and beyond the call of duty.  On behalf of everyone who participates in race tourneys...

+ALL2much for President!!!

(of something lol)

Here's a rundown of the official results:

                         1st - SLO_Shaggy_

                         2nd - SLO_MUDDD

                         3rd - SLO_N8

Oh yeah - now that's what I'm talkin' about!!

Scrooch Power!!  posted by COPE June 29, 03

Yeah, I know I'm late with this, but my recent vacation interfered with my MTM 2 career...somewhat lol.  Still, it makes Scrooch's accomplishment no less deserving.

So many have been suckered in by Scrooch's picture with the innocent baby face, the little bouncy ball he plays with, the potty trainer he has inconspicuously stored in the SLO locker room, and the fact that he can only count to 6.  But I'm here to tell ya, you put him in a monster truck, turn him loose on a track and the little sawed-off toddler can turn and burn with anyone out here lol.

At last weekends tourney on SLO PATH, our little rookie wonder brat came away with a 3rd place finish, which by anyone's standard is quite impressive to say the least.  Having raced side-by-side with Scrooch for a few months now, and knowing what he's capable of, it wouldn't surprise me in the least to see his name in the top spot of a tourney before the year is out.  Awesome stuff there, Scrooch!!!  Looks like that new SLO Racing preschool (mandated by state law because of his age) we put you in is really paying off lol.

Here are the official results:

                               1st - RIP_Boom

                               2nd - RIP_DirtyRacer

                               3rd - SLO_Scrooch_

PS - Got a few tennis lessons to dish out to some young, upstart across the street, but I'll be back later today with another post!

Tourney Results!  posted by COPE June 16, 2003

Much to the surprise of many, HotShoe is more than just a so-so track maker with a pretty face, and infinitely more than just the neighborhood marbles champion (he's weaseled his way into the the 6 & under league).  He's a burner on the tracks, and at yesterday's tournament featuring ZooN's classic, "ZooN Coaster 2" (hosted by +ALL2much--da man himself), he proved just that by garnering a 2nd place spot on the podium!!

Way to go, Shoe - excellent job out there, partner.  NOTE: Shoe has declined request for autographs and pictures.  However, he says he will submit to a game of marbles "any and all of his fans".  LOL geek.

Congrats to all that entered.  Here are the official particulars:

                         1st - RIP Death

                         2nd - SLO_HotShoe

                         3rd - MTF_Bloodshed

Another New Track...A SLO One! posted by COPE June 16, 03

The name is "Attitude_GZ" and he's back on the scene with his new track, "SLO PATH", It is this guy's humble opinion that Mr. Attitude_GZ has outdone himself with this one.  If I hear someone say they don't like this track, I'm going to activate the Emergency Medical Service response team by calling 9-1-1!  If you're not bowing before your monitor, burning incense, and lighting ceremonial candles while chanting, "Long live Attitude, Attitude, Attitude!!" then you're obviously in need of serious medical attention lol.

Great job, Att - a super track, man!!!  Again, thanks a heap for dedicating this one to our team, bud - it's much appreciated!  Look for this track on SLO's new APL come next month!

Got a few more updates to make today, so stay tuned...

New Tracks!!  posted by COPE June 12, 2003

Yeah, yeah, I've been slackin, but I'm pretty sure I can come up with a good excuse as to why lol.  At any rate, there are 3 new tracks I want to clue everyone in on, but for future reference, checkout MTMG's Track page to get the latest releases...just in case I start slippin again.

The first is by a very good friend of mine, and her name is "Whynni".  She used to go by Emma, but decided it was time for something different, something new.  Her latest track is entitled, "Happy", and I personally think it's her best work thus far.

The next two were authored by one of our racing companions - OLD_mumhra.  The tracks are "citadel namur" & "just for fun", which was his very first track, however he chose not to release it 'til now.  "citadel namur" is excellent.  It's got quite a bit of variety and it's a tad on the challenging side, which I rather enjoy.   He made a very nice effort on "just for fun" as well considering it was his first track.  I found them both to be very unique pieces of work and lots of fun to race.  Hopefully you will, too!

Great job, Whynni & mumhra!  On behalf of all of SLO I tip my wheel to you girls and guys for helping to keep this game exciting and fun.     Keep it up...please!

Game Helicopter Replacements  posted by COPE June 2, 2003

It's not that the game's stock post-crash retrieval vehicles are so repulsive that they needed replacing.  However, it's nice to have options, and affording us such an option is the one and only ZOtm_BigDOGGe.  He's whipped up four (count them - 4) slick alternate truck retrieval thingamabobs that are really cool, and highly recommended I might add.  If you're more of a pro crasher as opposed to a pro racer, you'll appreciate them more than most lol.  Still, they're pretty dang impressive regardless of how many times you use em.

Excellent work, DOGGe.  You've got my vote for canine of the month hands-down lol.  Woof-woof!!.
