It's been a while since I made a
post featuring the "Dynamic Duo". They've been
off for a while, doing the lecture circuit thing, commercials
endorsement commitments, autograph sessions, etc (in other
words, nothing, lol). Yesterday they made their long
awaited return to the cube, picking up right where they left
off!
The format was of the 2 vs 2
variety (their favorite), and was graciously hosted by +RunoverU

I've think I was remiss in my
duties on one occasion, failing to mention Malibu350's latest
release - "Skull

The other new release just
came out a few days ago, and yes, it's a conversion, based on
EVO 1's "Farm Road 109", entitled, "Barnyard
109", by none other than, Phineus.
Ignore the "Malarkey" name; he was having...a moment
lol.

Well, it's done, & after
three long, back-breaking weeks, MuDDSlyde has
admirably earned the right to wear the letters "S-L-O",

much congrats to you, Mudd. I will say I have my doubts
as to how he'll fit in, though. He's courteous,
prompt (very), he can read, and unlike me, he actually likes
the people on this team!

It
was discovered yesterday (ATW_Ionoone was the test
subject lol) that the pod.ini file within APL1.zip (see SLO
APL page) was flawed (*raises hand). I
immediately effected repairs just this morning, so all is
well.
In a
show of commitment to excellence in the future, as well as an
expression of our sincere apologies...we duct taped that
miserable Duck
to the back of SLO HQ for 15 hours yesterday; no pond, no Jacuzzi,
no duck pellet snacks, no nothing. The next time there's
a problem with this page (and it's my fault), we're going to
pluck that sucker and roast him over a few dozen cigarette
lighters lol. Again, sorry for the inconvenience, Ionoone.
SLO_HotShoe has a new one
out, and let me tell ya, it's one fast & furious
ride! Since I do track reviews for MTMG, I won't go into
any details here. Besides, I don't have the space!
I'll limit my comments to to the following:
Although it was transparent
to most, the teamslo.com
server was temporarily out of service for a short period of
time. N8 forwarded the .com address to our backup
server, teamslo.net in the
interim.
Everything is back to normal
(thank goodness), but in the future, if there's ever a problem
accessing teamslo.com, give teamslo.net
a try. We implemented such a feature to keep gross
outages to an absolute minimum, and thus far it's serving us
well. : )
It
was just brought to my attention that SLO_BRO_USA's
"55
Classic Chevy" was inadvertantly omitted
from the SLO_RIDER merged pods. I just completed an
update of the SLO_RIDER1.zip
to include his truck. A gross oversight on my part, no
doubt, and BRO, infuriated at my negligence, vowed that if it
happens again, he was gonna punch SLO_RAZ in the
mouth (twice)! I certainly don't blame him lol.
SLO_nOct3rn4l
was in top form last night, emerging as "King of the
Cube" in a spotlight tourney hosted by Charli@MPlus.
On behalf of the entire team, CONGRATS, to you!!
Now all you have to do is show some of that backbone at home,
& stop letting SLO_Christy push you around!
The next time she hands you one of those "honey-do"
list, tell her this: "Look woman - get off my back
about these chores, will ya? Keep naggin me and I
promise I'll move out and go live with NoX or N8; they
understand me, and support my desire to further my MTM 2
career...so step off, lady!!" Hehe see what she has
to say to THAT!

MuDDslyde's his name, and he
comes to us via SLO_HotShoe, who happens to be an
"old" (pun kinda intentional) acquaintance.
Upon initial, inspection MuDDslyde certainly appears to be SLO
compatible, however the final call won't be made until Sept
26, when the team casts its vote. One other
thing; Shoe, it was sorta ok when you and your
sidekick, MuDD showed up at the initial interview looking like
this,
but come vote time, how about ensuring you at least hose him
down out front before walking into the office, ok
pal?
We're still in the process of
making minor adjustments to the site. Some of the recent
changes/updates are: verified all track links, picture links
on SLO RIDERS and Help sections now open up to a new page,
made new header for Misc Track page, new name banners for
SCATTER & TurboTA on profile page, repaired a few links on
the Utilities page...and I think that's it for
now.
More little tweaks are
pending, but that's a run down of the latest here at SLO
HQ. If you notice bad links or something out of whack,
if you would please, drop a zm to any SLO member you see
online at the time and we'll take care of it ASAP.
