It's Shaggy Time, Baby!!  posted by COPE @ July 27, 2002

Sure, I've referred to SLO_Shaggy using words that were unflattering, and even socially unacceptable - I don't have a problem with that lol.  The funny thing is, most view it as an unprovoked attack on what appears to be a polite, well-adjusted, young man.  Malarkey I say, pure malarkey!  Here's a tiny sample of the kinda crap I put up with every day from Shaggy:

Uh huh, I got your unprovoked, right here lol.

The one thing that absolutely cannot denied, refuted, or contested, however, is this guy's ability on a track.  I kid you not, he's one of the best racers I've ever seen--period.  Course, he really sucked at last week's tourney, but we won't talk about that lol.  Mind you, when I use words like, "one of the best racers", it's not limited to how many races he wins.  I'm talking about much more, to include how he uses his head, exploits the weaknesses of others, his patience in terms of knowing when to attack vs. when to simply stay close, etc., etc.  Unbeknownst to some, racing involves quite a bit more than just going fast, and Shaggy proved that in no uncertain terms with a virtuoso performance at yesterday's tourney, which incidentally was hosted by the tourney king, +ALL2much!

The featured track was "SLO Park", by SLO_Fila, and I'm here to tell ya, it ain't for sissys lol.  There were several nail-biting finishes (I was in one or two & heard about several others) which always makes for fun racing.  As for Shaggy, yep - he talks the talk ...

SLO_Shaggy__> I'm handin out lollipops and @$$-whoopings...and I'm all outta lollipops lol

SLO_COPE> lmao

SLO_COPE> say - what kinda lollipops were they?

but there's little doubt the guy can walk the walk.  Checkout the final results:

                           1st - SLO_Shaggy__
                           2nd - SLO_COPE

                           3rd - MTF_HotShot

Very impressive racing, Shaggy - awesome stuff, bud.  GG's to MTF_HotShot, and all the other "combatants".  Finally, I'd like to give a special nod to all the SLOs that were in attendance (Superb showing out there, you guys), and my man +ALL2much for doing it like no other.

A New SLO In The Making?  posted by COPE @ July 23, 2002

The guy I'm about to present has managed to pull off what no other SLO prospect or SLO member has EVER done before, and that is avoid the "Copey Camera".  Allow me to demonstrate:

You see, part of my job is to catch my unsuspecting, useless, dimwitted compadres on camera, take a cheap shot at whoever I dislike the most, then post the pic up in order to make fun of or humiliate the intended target.  Other times it serves as a means to expose what someone is truly like, as in this picture of N8.  Here's a guy who acts like he's John Wayne on the cube, but the picture below paints quite a different story - check this out:

Uh huh, he bad...he bad lol.

As of July 21, 2003, a close friend of the team who goes by the name, Wytknuk, started the long, arduous journey of becoming a SLOster.  For those of you who are curious about what that consists of, it's 3 grueling weeks sucking back exotic drinks while kicked back on a beach in the Bahamas.  LOL yeah, he wishes.  Actually he'll be spending his days a SLO HQ, mopping floors, taking out the trash, making beds, ironing the wrinkles out of my cape...essentially serving as our house boy until his trial period expires.  If he makes the team, well...he'll be mopping floors, taking out the trash, etc because he'll be low man on the totem pole lol.  Hey, who said life was easy?

Welcome Knuk, and trust me, I'll get ya on camera eventually - it's just a matter of time lol.  Enjoy the ride, bud - three weeks will fly by, and before you know it, it'll be 11 Aug, 2003 - the day we'll cast our votes!  Best of luck to ya, and we'll see ya on the tracks!

And Yet Again - Tourney Update!  posted by COPE July 20, 03
Have I mentioned the name, "Demigod", recently?  Cutting to the chase, +ALL2much_ ran his weekly racing gig yesterday, which featured Skyman's "Lost Mines Revisted".  I typically save this part for last, however, the outcome looked like this:

                       1st - SLO_Demigod

                       2nd - MTF_HotShot

                       3rd - SLO_N8

Here's a guy who's sessions with the team typically consist of 4 or 5 races tops, then he leaves because (not by choice - "Happy Acres" limits their inma...guest to 50 minutes of online time daily), never really practiced the track at all (when he did, he was more of a pro crasher than a pro racer), and believe it or not, he never came close to being breaking 3:05 lap times, which are extremely average.  LOL all I can say is unfreakinbelievable!  Your the man, Demi.  Heck I'm not even gonna slam ya anymore...today.  Come tomorrow it's open season again, however lol.  An absolutely SUPERB effort on your part, bud!!

Great job, N8, who I believe owns the fastest lap time on "Lost Mines", clocking in at 2:55.82 - smokin!  Also, hats off to all the SLOs who were in attendance, to include our cheerleader - nOct3rn4l (nice skirt & pom-poms, fella).  It was definitely reminiscent of the old days when we would load up 8 or 9 racers at tourneys, break out the pizza, soda, and Hawaiian Punch for the kiddies lol.  Also congrats to MTF_HotShot for finishing up in 2nd place - excellent showing, guy.

Finally, I'd just like to say it's damn good to be SLO.  Nope, not because of the tourney wins, but because of all the fun we have prior to, during, and after.  Every one of you guys/girls/toddlers (Scrooch) make it happen, and I just wanted to take a little space here to pass that on.

This has been a public service announcement.

SLO_Demigod, formerly a pure rumbler who's transition over to pro racing just under a year ago was nothing short of phenomenal, possibly felt some deep-rooted need to reaffirm himself as a top-notch truck basher.  Needless to say he's dispelled any doubts about the status of his "tactical touch" where rumbling is concerned. I can't say I'm surprised at how sharp he is on the cube, however.  He's a quick study, and he adjusts to varying situations hastily and effortlessly.  To give you an example of what I mean, observe how Demi handled this conversation between he and I:

(Enter)> Demigod1

Demigod1> stupid new pass

SLO_COPE> don't like it?

Demigod1> no

(Exit)> Demigod1

(Enter)> Demigod1

SLO_COPE> wrong answer--try again

Demigod1> I like it a lot, goes well with the room's decor

SLO_COPE> lol that's better, punk

Hehe the youngster is quick on the draw, isn't he??  +Prometheus (mythology buff, no doubt) hosted this 1 vs 1, single elimination, slug-o-rama, and in the end our man Demi emerged victorious!  Way to go, Demi!!!  "GG" to the other podium finishers, and special thanks to +Prometheus for hosting. And now here's a rundown of the official particulars:

                      1st - SLO_Demigod

                      2nd - SYR_Timebomb_SL

                      3rd - XXX_Pusher

Tourney Update!  posted by COPE @ July 13, 2002
Back in May we found Shaggy laying face down near a local creek...blowing bubbles in the water.  Yes, we thought it was a rather peculiar activity for a young man his age (21), but there was something about him, something we saw in the lad that had SLO written all over him.  Actually, he did have SLO written all over him; he'd gotten into his sister's lipstick & mascara stash and tried his hand at body painting.  Needless to say it wasn't pretty, and the burst of laughter that erupted at that foo...I mean, we commended the youngster's zeal and enthusiasm, then asked if he would join us for for lunch and a few beverages.  We recommended something other than creek water.

We brought him in, washed all the makeup off, shaved the hair off his back, got rid of the fluffy slippers he was sporting (stole those from his sister, too) and set about training him...SLO style.  He's progressed well, and now he's out tearing up the tracks at tourneys, and this time around, he was accompanied by our resident SuperStar (N8)!

+ALL2much threw another one of his weekend partys, which featured Spreker's "The Racine Outback", and the highlight of course was SLO picking up 1st & 3rd, compliments of N8 & Shaggy, but word has it the turnout was great;10 SLOs were in attendance, 8 of them participated.  A superb showing guys/girls, and hats off to everyone else that was there!  Here are the official results:

                            1st - SLO_N8

                            2nd - MTF_HotShot

                            3rd - SLO_Shaggy

Awesome stuff, you two--great job!!!  See N8 - I told you those ballet lessons wouldn't hurt Shaggy's racing.  It was those tights that was doing it.  They were 3 sizes too small lol.

SLO_Scrooch's Mean Machine  posted by COPE July 11, 2003

Maybe it's a some sort of sign that I keep forgetting to post news about Scrooch. Then again it could be that wacky hat he wears that rubs me the wrong way, or the fact that  I'm sick (and tired) of finding little action figures, Lego Building Blocks, and other assorted toys scattered all over the locker room.  I mean, we're a racing-rumbling team for crying out loud; not "Little Tikes" daycare center!

Regardless, I'm obligated by contract to report that our little Scroochy has a new speed machine, compliments of the man himself - Replica Fan.  According to RF (likes to be called that; says it makes him sound rich lol), the little rascal was a royal pain in the wazoo.  If I recall, RF made mention of Scrooch needing more beatings and less Nickelodeon lol.  In the interim, DO check out Scrooch's Shredder.  Although it goes without say, RF has cranked out yet another slick lookin, awesome handling machine!

Hey, RF...we're about $52,995.00 short of the $53,000 we owe ya, partner.  So how about we unload...I mean, offer to let you have Scrooch as a trade-off?  Whatcha think????  LOL thanks again, man - you're AWESOME!

Site Updates  posted by COPE July 06, 2003
The purpose of this post is twofold: First, to serve notice that as of today our very own SLO_PaPa now has a spot on our links page.  Secondly, PaPa's been on the team since April 1 (hehe yeah, that was intentional), and it's sad that I'm just getting around to hooking him up on our site.  The bottom line is if I don't get some kind of a raise, this substandard service will continue, so help me, me lol!  All kidding aside, I already have a slight jump (no pun intended) on a few much needed updates to our page.  For example...

N8 has a new pic on the profile page, as do Obe & STOMP.

The N&U Archives page is now up-to-date (again lol).

Tomorrow's update will reflect changes to our track lists pages.  I'll add links to the garage settings lists PaPa whipped up.  His are printable & easy to read, and they definitely come in handy for those who haven't committed sets for over 200 tracks to memory.  Hehe slackers I say...slackers!

That's all for now, but there are more updates in store, so stay tuned...

Hummer Time!  posted by COPE July 03, 2003

Well, it looks like he's done it again, and this time SLO_3B is the lucky recipient of Replica Fan's truck making wizardry.  Interestingly enough, and this is just "gee-wiz" info here, RF said SCAT's truck is his all-time favorite.  He went on to add that of all the people he's dealt with on SLO, SCAT was by far the easiest, friendliest guy to work with.  Hmmm...can you say "conspiracy"?  LOL ok SCAT--fess up now; how much did it cost ya to get RF to spew out that garbage, huh?  Come on now...you can tell Uncle COPE lol.

At any rate, Triple B's new Hummer has to rank right up there, and I say that because as you can see it is S-H-A-R-P!! I haven't had a chance to take it out on the road yet, but RF says that baby handles. He also said he made a batch of them in assorted colors, so visit his site and check em out!  Oh yeah - now that's what I'm talkin' about!!

You never cease to amaze us, RF.  Thanks again for all you do...and all you've done, bud!

CH_2005's C-Pod   posted by COPE July 03, 2003

You may not have heard the name CH_2005, but if you're a tr?ck maker, this guy is your friend, believe me.  He recently finalized his work on a nifty utility that allows for...dare I say, unprecedented .pod file manipulation?

Tell ya what, even if you're not a tr?ck maker, this is one handy-dandy program. Hehe I'd run down all the particulars about this program, but it's a pretty extensive list.  Do yourself a favor and drop by his place to check it out.  If you'd like to comment on what ya see, you can do so right here.

Great stuff, CH!  The more I play with this thing, the more I like it.  Oh and hey, word has it that chicks dig utilities, man, so don't be surprised if you're suddenly Mr. Popular with the ladies lol.
